Hey hey, Mantel Monday!! I thought I was done with changing my mantel for awhile (ha!), but alas, it's not so. Several weekends ago, a group of friends and I threw one of my very best friends a bridal shower. It was so much fun and, of course, I wouldn't dare leave my mantel dressed for Halloween during the event! I'll be a bridesmaid in a few weeks and I can't wait for the wedding weekend festivities to commence (2 whole days of girl time with NO kids? Yes, please!).
The above picture is one I put on Instagram after the event and I'll definitely be giving you the rest of the shower details one of these days. Until then, here's the mantel.
The bridal shower was a peacock-feathered event: burlap, feathers, twine, gray and white chevron (in the treat bags and table runners). It was lovely!
I have very talented friends and one of those friends runs Village Cupcakes. Not only is she a fabulous baker, she's also great at ALL things creative. She made the lovely Cooper sign, which was a gift for the Bride-to-be. Fun, huh??
My chalkboard and burlap banner tutorial can be found here. It's so handy to have a changeable banner!
Since my home is full of peacock feathers, don't be surprised if you see them in future posts. Peacock feathers are beautiful for Fall AND Christmas. So, yeah, you'll probably be seeing them again. :)
Have a happy Monday!

I am loving the idea of using your mantel as an "accessory" instead of just having to fill it and only changing it for holidays. Although I'm thinking I will never be changing mine as often as you ;-)
