What's Black & White & Red Allover?

Do you remember that riddle from childhood? What's black & white & red allover? It's stuck in my head, but I can't remember the punchline. Bonus points** to whomever can tell me.

Welcome to Mantel Monday! This mantel is black & white & red (all over), hence the riddle stuck in my head. Yesterday after church, I came home and pondered my mantel for a spell. And, felt a sense of deja-vu. Didn't I just mantelfy my mantel for Valentine's Day? Like, last week?? Then I remembered. I remembered that pesky little challenge I gave myself for 52 Mantelscapes. In 52 weeks.

Oh for the love of mantels.

Can we be real for a minute? I SO was not in the mood to mantelfy yesterday. I kinda, sorta just wanted to work on other projects I have on deck.

Or sit. Yes, what I really wanted to do was sit.

But, I didn't sit. I gathered some black and white and red (all over) stuff from around my house and got to manteling. And, this is what I came up with.

You know my black & white wreath that's been refashioned from Halloween to Winter? Well, it's been refashioned again. I removed the winter accents and replaced them with this simple paper bunting. Three triangles and a red heart, laced onto a red ribbon. And, then a polka dotted heart stuck on top of the red heart.

With tape.

Fancy, I know. 

I added a melamine plate from Target, which I embellished with scrap-vinyl hearts.

Fancy. I know.

Then? Then I grabbed two candlesticks and two black & white Liberty of London canisters and introduced them to each other. They're getting along just fine.

I added my Love Abides Here printable to the mix and called it good. 

Hello, good.

Whew. Glad we cleared that up.

How lovely is this mantel from Cherished Bliss?? I adore this creamy white and pink combo (with splashes of red!). Plus, I love how she incorporated her lil' punkins on the mantel in the form of pictures! Sweet babies!
