Way back in October (can you remember that far back??), my friends and I threw a peacock-feathered, gray and teal bridal shower for one of my BFFs. I shared the special mantel with you and said I'd give more details later.
Then, well, the holidays happened.
Those holidays kept coming, one after the other.
And, I got distracted. By the holidays.
But, today I'm pausing the Valentine prep (hey, there will always be a holiday just around the corner) and sharing those bridal shower details with you!
And, of course, you may remember the bridal shower mantel I shared in November.
No bridal shower is complete without yummy treats, and the treat table was FULL of yumminess. One of the co-hosts (and another BFF) has a local bakery called Village Cupcakes. Seriously, she makes the most delicious cupcakes and cake pops ever! AND...she built that awesome cake pop box! I know, right?!
I love a good party favor, don't you?? Our party favors were yummy snickerdoodle cookies inside treat bags. The cookie recipe (a favorite of the bride's!) was printed on cardstock and attached to the bags with a tiny clothespin and a hand-stamped burlap tag. Cute and inexpensive!
We kept the food simple and delicious. When I'm hosting a shower or a party, I like to plan the menu around foods that can be prepared ahead of time. I'm not a big fan of last minute food prep. Cheese & crackers, finger sandwiches, pinwheels...simple and delicious!
The shower went very well and we had so much fun! Oh, I just love a good party, don't you?! :)
I hope you all have a terrific Friday!
