Awhile back, I showed you my combined craft room/guest room and shared all the details of my crafty storage solutions. As with every room, it's ever evolving! So, today, I'm sharing my quick and easy tutorial for a hand-doodled craft container using markers from BIC Mark-It. I love these markers because they come in the dreamiest colors. Seriously, 36 gorgeous colors!
When I say this project is easy, I mean it! I picked a doodle that anyone can do. If you can draw a triangle (over and over again), you can doodle this design!
To start, grab a white metal, plastic or ceramic container that will meet your storage needs. I needed something cute for my washi tape collection, so picked up this metal container from my local craft store. Then I began making upside-down triangles, connecting them at the corners. I didn't want them to be perfectly uniform, so I went fairly quickly. To get my spacing right, I did one side first and then began wrapping the triangle lines around the corners until they eventually connected back to the first triangles.
When I had my gray triangle banners (don't they look like banners) drawn, I randomly colored in some with pretty colors. Again, I wasn't going for uniformity, so random was key!
I finished my container with a sticky chalk label. Quick and easy!
The key to a tidy(ish) home office or craft space is to have a place for everything. When supplies have designated homes, clean up is a breeze!
