Banana "Ice Cream" {with only TWO ingredients!}

I'm posting on a Sunday (what?! I know!) to share this easy Banana "Ice Cream" recipe, made in my Vitamix. I love my Vitamix, but this can also be made in a food processor or other high-powered blender. I originally shared this easy, healthy and kid-friendly "ice cream" recipe over at See Vanessa Craft

On Tuesday, I'm teaming up with a few ladies to share a handful of Vitamix recipes AND host a blender/vitamix/food processor link party for your fab recipes. Sounds fun, huh?

This TWO ingredient treat is creamy, cold...and, totally wholesome. Just bananas and a dash of milk (regular, almond, coconut, soy...your call!).

The beauty of this recipe is that it can very easily be made dairy-free, vegan, organic, gluten-free, nut-free, soy-free and/or sugar-free. Did I miss any dietary restrictions?!

With just TWO ingredients (did I mention that already??), this is the perfect dessert to serve up to all the neighborhood kids! :)

How's it made? I'm glad you asked!

It's simple! When I have a bunch of bananas that are very ripe, I peel them and then break them into small chunks. I store these in a freezer ziplock bag...

To make the ice cream: grab the desired quantity of frozen banana chunks (I typically do the equivalent of one banana/person) and throw them in your HIGH-POWERED blender** or food processor. Add 1 T of milk (or milk substitute) per banana and blend until smooth and creamy! Serve immediately.

**I use my Vitamix and it works like a charm!

My daughter is a huge fan of this "ice cream". And, I have no mommy-guilt when I let her indulge! :)

Try this with mini chocolate chips, caramel sauce, fresh fruit, cinnamon or peanut's such a yummy base recipe!

Come back tomorrow for another great blender recipe (plus a BIG giveaway!).

Happy Sunday!
