Today I have a delicious and SIMPLE recipe for you, perfect for Halloween. Candy Corn Crunch, is what I'm calling it. I'm also calling it addictive, because, my goodness, it keeps you coming back!
I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of candy corn. It's way too sweet, in my opinion. I need a little salty to break it up a bit (anyone else?). But, when I found myself with gobs of candy corn last week, I decided to come up with a salty solution. Enter, Candy Corn Crunch!
Candy Corn Crunch
8 Cups Popped Popcorn (I chose sea salt and olive oil flavored)1 Cup White Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Almonds, coarsely chopped
2 Cups Candy Corn (plus a few more to garnish)
Place all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between cycles, until candy corn just starts to melt. Mix and let cool. Sprinkle a few whole candy corn pieces on top, for presentation. Serve room temp!
So, tell me, how do you like YOUR candy corn? Are you a die-hard fan...or not so much?

ReplyDeleteOh, my -- YUM! I am a huge fan of candy corn! I can't get enough, which means it has to stay out of my house. ;-) But this is a great idea for a recipe, and I think I will try this! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHow yummy does that look? I AM a candy corn fan. I'm pretty sure I could finish off that whole bowl. Perhaps I need to give that a try! {The making of the crunch, not the eating of the batch!} xoxo jules
ReplyDeleteThis looks great! I always eat candy corn with peanuts. We might have to make this for the fall party!
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm laughing because I'm re-running my candy corn bark recipe today! Great minds! Candy corn is like crack to me, but even more so with the salty mixed in. Love the popcorn idea ~ I'll have to try this one, too!
