For my family, summer means farmer's markets, picnics, barbecues, and swimming. Oh, and lot's of "togetherness" since school is out and the kids are home! I asked them to help me come up with a kid-friendly, family project that anyone could do to create a fun, summer, 100% paper mantle. Here it is, the Stay at Home-ista summer mantle! Both projects are make-with-your-children-able, including the paper plate market baskets and the handprint paper flowers. Come on over for the tutorials.
Thanks for sharing your fun and family-friendly Summer mantel, Jessica!! It celebrates everything I love about Summer.
Be sure and check out Stay at Home-ista for tons of great ideas and inspiring home design!

So cheerful! I love it! I just did a mantel (well, a piano, but who's counting, right?) and I didn't use ALL paper, but I did use some! (Pinwheels made from comic pages). Thanks for the inspiration!
