It's just another Mantel Monday. Ooo-oo-oh.
I'm kind of digging my mantel today, you guys! Turquoise? Check. Orange? Check. Thanksgiving nods? Check. Something Autumn-y? Check. Requisite fall/winter vegetables? Check.
Today I'm utilizing 3 elements that were created with my own two hands:
1) Paper leaves in a vase from last Friday.
2) Thankful Heart printable from last Wednesday. It's totally free, so go print it out if you want. I just slipped this guy into a frame from my stash (oh, you know I have stashes).
3) Lunch Bag Flower banner made from brown lunch bags from last Thursday. I've gotten lots of use from these flowers. Remember my paper flower place card holders? Yep. Place card holders and a banner. Plus, you'll be seeing them on another mantel soon. I love projects that keep on giving!
Goodness, it seems like I've been a busy bee in the last several weeks. But, don't worry. I've managed to keep my child fed, clothed and hair-bowed. In case you were concerned.
You may have noticed there's another free printable on my mantel this week. That was made by the awesome ladies at eighteen25. If you're looking for Subway art to celebrate, um, just about ANY occasion you can celebrate, look no further than them. They have it mastered and offer their work FREE and in a variety of colors. Plus, they have great taste, so their colors aren't lame-o. Like maroon.
Here's another look-see at my paper flower banner. After you make the flowers, you can really do whatever you please with them. This week I chose to clip them onto a length of twine with clothespins. In between each flower is a piece of paper, torn from an old book. I used these papers to spell out "THANKS" and one to write "give". These flowers are so easy to make and after you master them (which were not invented by myself, I should add), you'll be making them out of all manner of paper. Trust me. I know these things.
I have nothing clever or informative to say about these pictures. But, isn't this week's Fall mantel fresh and fun?
There's a close-up of that subway art printable I mentioned. Great colors, right??
Bonjour ma petite pumpkins.
Give Thanks. I love a season that encourages us to be thankful. Maybe I should keep this banner up year round.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope your mantels are spruced up for this season of Thanksgiving! If not, go print some free printables and get to sprucing!
