Pumpkin-Spice Protein Shake


Do you love pumpkin spice? Do you love protein shakes? Then, you'll love this Pumpkin-Spice Protein Shake, made in my Vitamix! I mentioned yesterday that I have an exciting Vitamix round-up (and link party!) coming tomorrow. And, of course, this shake is one of the yummy recipes being featured. 

This shake is great as a meal replacement or snack and boasts a respectable dose of protein, depending on the protein powder you use. I use Body Fortress Super Advance Whey Protein in Vanilla because it's reasonably priced and, well, I like the taste. But, seriously, use the protein powder that you like. I'm no protein powder expert, after all. 

I should note that a Vitamix is not mandatory. Any ol' blender will do.

Pumpkin-Spice Protein Shake


1 C. Almond Milk (or milk of choice!)
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
1/4 C. Canned Pumpkin Puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
1/2 t. of Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/2 C. Ice
**Redi-Whip (optional topping)
**Cinnamon (optional topping)

Add ice, pumpkin puree and milk to the blender. Blend until smooth. Add spice and protein powder. Blend to incorporate. Pour into a glass and garnish with redi-whip and cinnamon, if desired. Serve immediately. 


I shared this recipe on Instagram, way back in August. Because it was SO hot and I needed a little taste of Fall. Luckily, Fall(ish) temperatures are making their way to Texas. Hooray!
