Today I'm participating in a FUN blog hop with 9 other creative bloggers! If you click on any of the pictures above, you'll be taken directly to that tutorial. We'll be doing this every month, which is very exciting (if you ask me!). And, today we've come up with 10 chalkboard ideas in honor of (the fast approaching!) back-to-school time.

My tutorial is easy-as-can-be! I've got a few quick steps to make your own chalkboard labels. I've used them in my craft room, but they'd also be great for organizing the heaps of school supplies you're about to acquire!

All you need to get started is:
Black contact paper
Scissors
Corner-rounder (optional)

1) use the grid on the backside to cut your contact paper into equal sizes 2) round the edge with a paper corner-rounder 3) apply to the surface of your choice (I chose these cute dollar spot magazine holders)

See? Easy as can be! I used my chalk-pen to label the contents of each box.

These magazine holders are usually super inexpensive and, surprisingly, hold a lot!

You can see my framed cork board in the background. And, this is officially my LAST teaser before I share my craft room with you! :)

NOW...we've got a FUN giveaway for you for your own chalk supplies from DecoArt. Yay! Enter below:

  11. My favorite part of back to school is the first day of school. Everyone is so excited about the new year, uniforms are neatly pressed, shoes are still new looking and school supplies are crisp and clean! Each year since pre-k I have picked my kids up for ice cream on their first day. I love hearing about what they loved and what they are most excited about.
