This week, I was SO excited to get a box full of Martha Stewart craft supplies to try out. When I received the goodies from the Martha Stewart glass painting program, I instantly knew I wanted to use the paintable clings to jazz up my stand mixer. Have you seen all the fun, decorative stand mixers on the web?! I'm loving the trend!
Wanna jazz-up YOUR stand mixer? You can do it with the pretty paintable clings from Martha Stewart Crafts.
Here's how:
Step 1: Gather your supplies. I used several pretty colors of the Martha Stewart glass paint and a set of the paintable clings.
Step 2: Fill in the clings using your pretty paint colors. The key to this is using a very gentle hand. If you find the paint overflows the lines, don't fret! Dab the excess with a bit of paper towel. Easy-peasy!
Step 4: Let the clings dry on a flat surface, away from curious fingers (have any of those around??). I let mine dry overnight.
Step 4: Peel the painted clings and place them on your stand mixer! I actually moved mine around several times to get them just right. They lifted and moved beautifully!
Pretty, eh?! I'm loving the bit of whimsy these clings added to my kitchen. Fun, cheery and SO simple!
I guess I should mention that these clings can be attached to many surfaces: glass, metal, plastic, etc. They're versatile and changeable. How fun would it be to change the clings from season to season?
